Jesus’ names and titles show what he has accomplished, but also what he is doing today and how he functions in the church.
The first name we looked at is "the Breaker."
The second name is Shiloh and it is in the prophecy of Jacob over Judah.
Shiloh comes from the root verb shalah which means to rest, prosper, be quiet. Thus the name Shiloh is rest-giver, quiet-giver, rest-maker. Until he comes to be the rest-maker. That will be when he ushers in the Millennial kingdom, the sabbath rest of 1000 years for Israel. But he is a rest-maker now too.
We can pray using these names. When we or someone we are ministering to needs to have a breakthrough or get out of a prison or some kind of oppressive situation, we can use the name of the Breaker. He can then enlarge the gate and lead them out!
Or if someone is in need of rest and a dramatic change, we can pray in the name of Shiloh. Then he will go to work to cause the storm to cease as the rest-maker, rest-giver.
